Welcome Veterans!

Our mission is to assist in the professional development of members, to promote camaraderie, and to raise awareness and support for the military on the Boston College campus and make a positive contribution to our community. We also wish to develop a strategic partnership with a Boston based nonprofit to create opportunities to give back, increase awareness for our club and develop an enduring relationship with an outside organization that can be passed on from our BC class to the next.

We provide opportunities to get together and unwind or have fun. We create networking opportunities to build strong relationships with the BC Veterans both current and alumni. We collect and share resources to better meet the needs of our student veterans. We hope to see you around campus and at various events. Looking for more BC veteran resources? Check out this page.

What BC veterans are saying..

The Boston College Student Veterans Association allowed me to reach out to students who
shared a common experience with me and feel more engaged in the BC community. Through
the association, I have been able to meet veterans involved in many different programs at BC as
well as veterans who work at the college. I did not realize how important this sense of
community and connection to other veterans would be until I noticed its absence when I first
enrolled. Now that we have a student veterans association at the college, I believe it will serve
as an important resource for former service members while studying and long after they
complete their degrees". -Chris Zeitz, Class of 2018

"The Boston College Student Veteran Association is an essential part of Boston College to bring together different service branches and ranks along with the common factor of being a Veteran. The group has expanded significantly in one year from the first meeting being in a restaurant with less than fifty people to requiring an event hall to accommodate two hundred people. Veterans recognize each other from previous events because it is a close-knit community within the Boston College Veteran community.  The female Veterans at Boston college may be a single digit number, but I hope that it can expand with more awareness of our organization. The club has a variety of events to bring Veterans together even with their busy schedules of school, internships, relationships, and families. The tailgate that was sponsored by the club on Veteran’s Day and food and hot cider to bring everybody together in the cold weather. It was a fun activity to connect with other Veterans during the school year and having it on Veteran’s Day was a way for everybody to celebrate their service along with a great game". -Rachel Cooper, Class of 2018
